Priceline Haul!

So, it seems that most of the time when I buy things ( especially make-up/beauty products) I give them a quick try out on the day that I buy them. I think it comes with being impatient! So, I suppose that's why my haul posts all have first impressions in them too. I prefer to do it this way I think, otherwise I would just be doubling up on talking about products. What do you prefer? Separate haul and first impressions, or a haul that includes a few first impressions? Let me know!!

I had absolutely no intentions of buying any make-up when I left work on Friday. Seriously, I was going to go to Priceline, pick up my prescription and leave...we all new that wasn't going to happen...Priceline happened to have a Revlon deal on too, where if you spent $30 on Revlon, you receive a free Revlon gift valued at $37 - reason enough to buy something I think!! (Yeah, it's a good excuse, I know!!)

The three Revlon products that I bought to get to the $30 mark were all lip products. I am currently obsessed with their Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains, so I purchased two of those in the colours Darling and Cherish. I am super obsessed with these guys! They feel so fantastic on and the colours are really nice and subtle, but buildable. They definitely have a  really balmy feel to them and they are so easy to apply. I really like these two colours, they are subtle, but they work for me becasue I'm not a huge fan of having a really dark lip. They have a good range of colours too, I think that there are probably two more from this range that I would love to buy and that's the colours Honey and Rendezvous. The latter looks like a super cute coral colour, I am definitely going to pick that up next! Who am I kidding, I will probably buy all of them at some point!
Left: Purchased | Right: Free gifts
The other product I purchased was one of the Revlon ColourBurst Lipsticks in the colour Candy Pink. Now, I usually wouldn't buy one in store if it wasn't on special because they are a little pricey to buy in Australia, but, to make up the $30 to get the free gift, I just gave in. I mean, they are about $23 to buy full price in Australia, which i find a little bit of a bummer when you can buy them online for half that! I still love them though, but I would be more likely to buy them on sale or online.
The two free gift products I got were the Revlon ColourBurst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait and a Revlon Top Speed nail polish in Orchid. The lip butters are another product that around the $20 mark to buy in store, so getting this as a free gift was a bonus. The nail polish is nice, the colour is great but it has a bit of a shimmer to it and I don't tend to wear a lot of shimmery nail polishes anymore. It is a really nice colour though, I will probably use this more often on my toes! And as a free gift, who could complain. I assume that each freebie pack comes with different colours of these products. I am glad it had a lip butter in it, as I still hadn't purchased on of these.

I am in love with anything coral at the moment. Coral and mint are my favourite colours currently, so when I strolled past the Maybelline nail polishes, there was one that really caught my eye!
Random pinkie finger pic!!
The Maybelline Color Show nail polish in Coral Crush is a really great coral nail colour. I'm a bit in love with it! The colour is really nice and the formulation is kind of perfect. The Color Show range has 25 different shades and there are some really nice, bright colours but this one definitely stood out to me. Trying this one and liking the formulation, I think I will go back and try a few more! The Maybelline website states "Runway-Hot Shades. Show-Stopping Shine. Chip-resistant formula. Easy flow brush. For bolder, crisper colour that just won't quit." and I would agree with all of that! I really like this nail polish, for the colours and for the formulation. I think I will be purchasing a selection of these little guys!

I purchased a few Models Prefer items too (mainly because their display was right by where you head to the register! Sneaky sneaky!) But honestly, I do really like what I had already tried from them, so I thought why not try a few more items!?
If you've signed up for the Priceline  Sister Club Beauty Club, you would know that you get a free Models Prefer gift pack on joining. The items I had tried from this pack were really good!

These Ultra Lipgloss pencils are so pigmented and smooth! I really like them! There wasn't a huge selection of colours, but out of what was there, these two stood out to me. The bright pink at the bottom, or Drama Queen is so pigmented and really bright! It's definitely a bold pink lip if you apply it as a solid colour, however, you can apply a small amount and smudge it into the lip for a more subtle look, making these super versatile. The orangey colour above, Dare to Wear, leaves a nice coral tone on the lips, it's more of a subtle colour compared to the Drama Queen. Full price, these are $9.99, this is a great price because I think they will last a long time!

The Big Lash mascara is a nice volumising mascara that not only adds volume but seems to help fan out the lashes. It has a really interesting shape brush that I haven't used before, the tip of the brush seems to help you get right into the lashes on the inner corner of the eye. I will need to try it out a few more times before I decide how I feel about this one. I like it so far though, I think that the brush is the main thing that surprised me about this one. I didn't necessarily expect an amazing mascara, but I just wanted to try out the Models Prefer brand, they have quite a selection, but I always lean towards the volumising ones. The brush is really interesting though, it seems a good shape to really get onto all the lashes!
Models Prefer have a really large range of products and they have quite the selection of brushes too. I didn't buy any this time, but I think I will try a few in the future. They really do have some great products at affordable prices. The Ultra Lipgloss pencils are pretty amazing and I have a black kohl pencil from Models Prefer that I received with the gift pack which is one of my favourite black pencils! Definitely a brand that I am planning on purchasing more of!

I also picked up the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream (that is finally available in Australia!) It was on special too (only a couple of dollars off I think - but no complaints!) I still haven't tried a BB cream that I'm really in love with, but this is the best that I have tried so far. I bought this in the colour Light and feel like it's a good match for my skin, though I could probably go up to Medium and not have a problem. I really like this BB cream! It feel light on the skin and leaves my face feeling smooth and it slightly evened out my complexion (I have a fair bit of redness in my cheeks.) I was surprised by the consistency of this, it seems like a really thin liquid. I've been storing mine upside down because I feel like it comes out of the squeeze tube way too quickly when you've had it standing up. Having said that, I actually prefer this consistency to the thick, gloopy BB creams I have tried so far. It's definitely one I'm going to keep trying out because I feel like even after two days of using it, it has left my skin feeling nice and soft.

Well, that's basically it for the make-up items that I purchased at Priceline, apart from some Cetaphil moisturiser and one of my favourite, can't live without items of life, Lucas' Pawpaw Ointment.
These were on sale and were also in a display as I headed to the checkout, so I just had to pick up a couple of tubes. If you haven't used this, seriously, go and find some!! It has to be the Lucas brand too. Nothing against the other brands versions, but this one is the best I have tried! You can use it on cuts, bruises, sores, burns etc! It has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties and is amazing on dry, chapped lips! I have a tube in my bag, in the bathroom and next to my bed, I use it constantly on my lips and I have used it on bites and stings with good effect as well as chaffed skin. It's an amazing product! Even if you only use it on your lips, just buy a tube!

I decided to give Cetaphil a try becasue I have quite dry skin. Even in summer it is dry and now that we're heading into autumn, it will just end up even dryer...so I thought I should try and get on top of this before it gets worse. I had thought about trying a couple of items from the Cetaphil range and noticed that Cetaphil had 20% off (yup, I'm  a sucker!) so I picked up the moisturiser.
The pump pack of this is so convenient and a little really goes a long way. I used it before bed a couple of times now and my skin today feels amazing. My face in particular, where I ususally have a few quite dry areas, feels soft and smooth! I will definitely keep up with using this before bed though I don't know if it might be a bit too heavy to use in the mornings. If I was just at home I would use it in the mornings, but getting up and going to work I feel like this  takes too long to sink into my skin. There is a cleanser in this range (the one for dry skin) that I think I may pick up necxt time I'm in Priceline. There are versions of this directed towards those with oily skin, as well as sunscreens, cleansing bars and other moisturisers.

Ok, so that's it for what I got at Priceline. I really do enjoy going into a shop and actually trying products out before I buy them! It doesn't happen all that often mainly because in a lot of instances I can find things online for so much cheaper. It's a nice change to go in and swatch a few things, but I don't think I will ever be able to quit my online shopping addiction!!!

That's all for now, I have a Beauty Joint Haul that I will try and get up over the next few days as well and a Holy Grail hair product post that will be up soon too!!
